Midlands Shines at 2026 Weekend Pennant Finals

The 2026 Weekend Pennant Finals were held on Sunday 3rd May at Buninyong Golf Club, with teams from across the region coming together to celebrate another successful season of competition and camaraderie.

Midlands Golf Club featured in all four finals and delivered an outstanding performance, claiming three pennants, including the prestigious Scratch title.

Results

  • Scratch: Midlands 4 defeated Mt Xavier 3
  • Division 2: Midlands 3 defeated Buninyong 2
  • Handicap: Midlands 4 defeated Buninyong 1
  • Seniors: Buninyong 4 defeated Midlands 1

Beyond the results, Weekend Pennant once again highlighted the passion, commitment and community spirit that continue to strengthen golf across the region.

A special thank you to all team managers for their organisation and commitment throughout the season, and to Robert Rosenow for his outstanding coordination of the competition.

We also acknowledge and thank our affiliated clubs that hosted matches throughout the season, including Bacchus Marsh West Golf Club, Ballarat Golf Club, Buninyong Golf Club, Chalambar Golf Club, Midlands Golf Club and Mt Xavier Golf Club.
