A capacity field from across Victoria competed in the 2026 Ballarat Junior Open on Wednesday 14th January at the Buninyong Golf Club. As a prestigious Victorian Junior Order of Merit event, the tournament also proudly serves as our Junior District Championships, showcasing the depth of talent in our region.
Under 18 Boys
Jack Cowan (Bacchus Marsh West Golf Club)
Jack claimed his first District title with a composed even-par round of 72. After several near misses in recent years, his perseverance has been rewarded in style. Now closing in on scratch, Jack follows in the footsteps of his brother Harry, last year’s champion. He has also been a valued member of our Victorian Junior Country Regions teams in 2024 and 2025, after serving as a reserve in 2023.
Under 15 & Under 18 Girls
Lia Beilfuss (Buninyong Golf Club)
An emerging talent, Lia capped off a remarkable 12 months by securing her first two District titles. A reserve for our 2025 Victorian Junior Country Regions team, she represented Golf Central Victoria at the championships, underlining her rapid development and growing presence in the junior ranks.

Sky Adirekchotikul (Midlands Golf Club)
Sky successfully defended his title to become a two-time District Champion, adding the 2026 crown to his 2025 victory. A member of our Victorian Junior Country Regions teams in both 2024 and 2025, Sky continues to demonstrate consistency and composure beyond his years.
