A record-breaking field of 80 players from Victoria and South Australia competed in the 2025 Ballarat Junior Open on Wednesday 15th January at the Buninyong Golf Club. As a prestigious Victorian Junior Order of Merit event, the tournament also serves as our Junior District Championships.
Under 18 Boys
Harry Cowan (Bacchus Marsh West Golf Club) secured the Under 18 Boys District Champion title with a stellar even-par round of 72. A key member of our junior representative teams, Harry is now a three-time District Champion, adding to his Under 15 titles from 2022 and 2023.
Under 18 Girls
Sydney Viktorie Bayerle (Ballarat Golf Club) claimed the Under 18 Girls District Champion title with a 9-over-par round of 81. A key member of our junior representative teams and always a consistent performer at this level, Sydney’s latest victory marks her eighth District title, building on her Under 15 (2020, 2022, 2023, 2024) and Under 18 (2020, 2022, 2023) wins.
Under 15 Boys
Sky Adirekchotikul (Midlands Golf Club) captured the Under 15 Boys District Champion title with a solid 5-over-par round of 77. A member of our 2024 Victorian Junior Country Regions team, Sky’s triumph was especially rewarding after narrowly missing out in a playoff last year.
Under 15 Girls
Pearl Goodwin (Ballarat Golf Club) won the Under 15 Girls District Champion title with a 12-over-par round of 84. An emerging talent, Pearl has enjoyed a standout summer, highlighted by strong performances in club competitions and tournaments, a trip to the 2024 Victorian Junior Country Regions, and now her first District title.
