2024 MyGolf Junior League

Participants

The MyGolf Junior League is aimed at boys and girls predominantly aged 9 and above who:

  • Have been introduced to golf through Golf Australia school-based programs and/or the MyGolf program
    and/or
  • Are a junior member at a Ballarat District Golf affiliated club

Outline

Conducted in conjunction with the Ballarat District Golf – Junior Pennant season, the MyGolf Junior League provides players with:

  • The opportunity to play in a modified competition with other players of a similar age and skill level
  • The opportunity to play at several Ballarat District Golf affiliated clubs
  • An insight into the other junior development programs delivered by Ballarat District Golf

    Competition Format

    • The MyGolf Junior League is a team based competition
    • Matches will be played on Sunday mornings over a five-week period at Ballarat District Golf affiliated clubs – See the dates and venues for more details
    • Each team will consist of ten players – Each player is required to submit an entry form and will be placed in a team prior to the first round of matches

    Match Day Format

    • Matches will be played over nine holes on a shortened course – Par 3 holes: Approximately 100m, Par 4 holes: Approximately 150m, Par 5 holes: Approximately 220m
    • Players will play in pairs – Two-Ball Ambrose Match Play format
    • Pairs receive one point for winning a hole and half a point for a halved hole
    • All points will be tallied to give an overall team score
    • Four points will be awarded to the winning team or two points to each team if the match is tied

    • Round 1 - Sunday 4th February - Maryborough Golf Club – Park Road, Maryborough
    • Round 2 - Sunday 11th February - Midlands Golf Club – 330 Heinz Lane, Invermay Park
    • Round 3 - Sunday 18th February - Buninyong Golf Club – 613 Learmonth Street, Buninyong
    • Round 4 - Sunday 3rd March - Bacchus Marsh West Golf Club – Balliang Road, Bacchus Marsh
    • Round 5 - Sunday 17th March - Mt Xavier Golf Club – Fortune Street, Ballarat East

    Competition Times

    MyGolf Junior League matches will commence at 9:00am. Team lists and a competition schedule will be distributed prior to the first round of matches.

    Entry Fee

    The entry fee to play in the 2024 MyGolf Junior League is $50 and is payable when entering online.

    Entries close on Thursday 25th January. Please note that due to course availability, entries will be restricted to a maximum of 80 players and Ballarat District Golf reserve the right to close entries early if capacity is reached.
