Round 5 and the Final of the Ballarat District Golf – 2017 Junior Pennant season were played on Sunday 5th March, with matches hosted by the Ballarat Golf Club.
In the morning matches, Midlands defeated Buninyong 5 matches to 0 and Bacchus Marsh West / Ballan defeated Mt Xavier 3 matches to 2, setting up a final between Mt Xavier and Midlands.
Mt Xavier then capped off an excellent season by defeating Midlands 3½ matches to 1½, to win the Ballarat District Golf – 2017 Junior Pennant title. Congratulations to Archie Bissinella, Nick Crellin, Charlie Bissinella, Tom Yorke and James Yorke on the high quality of the golf they played in the Final and for their consistency over the course of the season.

Played under handicap match play conditions, Junior Pennant is one of a number of development programs organised by Ballarat District Golf, designed to grow participation in junior golf and provide players with a pathway to the opportunities available at regional and state level.
