Twenty six Club Medallists teed it up at Ballarat Golf Club on Sunday 13th October in the District Medallist of the Year event. The course was presented in great condition, however the strong winds at the start made conditions very difficult for competitors. The wind eased off as the day progressed and some good scores were returned.
Women’s Medallist of the Year – Kay Johnston from Ballarat took advantage of her home course to score a credible 63 Nett to win on a count back from Tricia Martin from Beaufort, also with a 63 Nett.
Men’s Medallist of the Year – Manish Puvanendran, one of our up and coming junior players scored a fine 71 Nett to edge out Scott Burns from Ballarat with a 73 Nett.
