2020 Ballarat Junior Classic – Results

The 2020 Ballarat Junior Classic was played at the Midlands Golf Club on Friday 24th January, with 43 golfers from Ballarat District Golf affiliated clubs and clubs across Victoria competing in perfect conditions. The tournament was originally scheduled to be played on Monday 20th January, but was postponed due to the extreme weather conditions.

The tournament was a counting event towards the Victorian Junior Averages (Geoff Ogilvy and Future Champions Trophies).

Ben Bowers from Curlewis Golf Club shot 8-over to win both the Under 18 Boys and Under 15 Boys titles, with Paddy Murphy from Ballarat Golf Club runner up in the Under 18 Boys and Manish Puvanendran from Ballarat Golf Club runner up in the Under 15 Boys.

Rose Britt from Midlands Golf Club shot 11-over to claim the Under 18 Girls title by one shot over Millie Cassidy from Maryborough Golf Club. With her 12-over score, Millie won the Under 15 Girls title by one shot over Alicia Todd from Buninyong Golf Club. All three players are members of the Ballarat District Golf – Girls Development Squad and are fantastic role models for our other squad members.
