Team Day claim the 2020 MyGolf Junior League

The Ballarat District Golf – 2020 MyGolf Junior League was played over a five-week period, with the final round of matches played on Sunday 1st March at the Midlands Golf Club.

Held in conjunction with Junior Pennant, the MyGolf Junior League catered for 36 boys and girls each week who:

  • Have been introduced to golf through Golf Australia school-based programs and/or the MyGolf program
    and/or
  • Are a junior member at a Ballarat District Golf affiliated club

Played in teams of six, matches were played over nine holes on a shortened course (par 3 holes: approximately 100m, par 4 holes: approximately 150m, par 5 holes: approximately 220m). Players participated in pairs, with a Two-Ball Ambrose Match Play format used.

Team Day went through the season undefeated to claim the title. Congratulations to team members Jack Sproull, Riley Tatt, Will Reichman, Tom Reichman, Oscar Burke, Dante Finnigan, Will Parry and Andrew Gittins. Team Lee also enjoyed an excellent season, finishing in second position.

One of the aims of Ballarat District Golf is to grow junior participation and the MyGolf Junior League is an important activity in our junior pathway.  We look forward to growing the competition again in 2021.
