Special Mentions
Nic Crellin, Jarryd Martin and Paddy Murphy have been the backbone of our team since 2017. Nic and Jarryd have contributed so much to junior golf in our region and for each of them to conclude their junior career with a winner’s medal is fantastic! Paddy still has time to add another one.
Rose Britt is a wonderful role model for all the young girls playing golf in our region. We were thrilled that girls were included in the competition for the first time because it meant Rose finally had the opportunity to play junior representative golf at Victorian country level and now, she has a winner’s medal!
Alicia Todd was the Girls Net Winner. Playing in her final junior representative competition before moving to Queensland, Alicia finished at 5 under par for the three rounds. A star in the making and a much-loved member of our team, we are going to miss her.

Acknowledgements
We wish to thank the Golf Australia – Victoria team of Tony Collier, Dylan Grandell and Tim Witherow for conducting the competition. Postponed in May due to COVID-19, after the tough year we have all endured it would have been understandable if the competition were cancelled. Instead, the leading junior players from across country Victoria had the opportunity to come together for three days of exciting golf.
Well done to all the district associations on assembling their teams and travelling to Ballarat to be a part of the weekend. We need to continue to work together to provide our juniors with as many participation and representative opportunities as possible.
Many thanks to:
- Buninyong Golf Club, Midlands Golf Club and Ballarat Golf Club, who each hosted a day of the competition
- Andrew Cartledge (PGA Teaching Professional – Ballarat Junior Golf Academy) for his guidance and tuition in the lead up to and throughout the competition
- Ron Adams (Secretary and Men’s Coordinator – Ballarat District Golf) and Pauline Murphy (Women’s Coordinator – Ballarat District Golf) for assisting with competition and team administration
Our players represented Ballarat District Golf with enormous pride and displayed outstanding determination and sportsmanship. Congratulations to our team on achieving something very special. We are so proud of you!
