Buninyong win the 2021 Junior Pennant Title

Buninyong Golf Club have defeated Maryborough Golf Club to win the 2021 Junior Pennant Title.

In an enthralling final played at the Ballarat Golf Club on Sunday 14th March, the teams were locked together at three games apiece at the conclusion of regular play. Each team then selected a player to participate in a sudden death play-off, with Joel Smith defeating Millie Cassidy on the first extra hole to clinch the title for Buninyong.

Congratulations to Joel Smith, Luke Inglis, James Inglis, Jacob Hanrahan, Ben Crellin and Anna Inglis on the high quality of their play in the final and for their consistency over the course of the season, winning Buninyong’s first Junior Pennant Title since 1993!

Final – Buninyong 3 defeated Maryborough 3 (Buninyong were declared the winner after a play-off)

It was great to see the number of families and members from Buninyong and Maryborough out supporting the two teams.

It takes a considerable amount of effort to conduct the Junior Pennant competition each year and we wish to thank:
