A field of 89 played in the 2023 District Championships at Ballarat on Sunday 29th January in ideal conditions. The course was presented in prestigious condition.
Kristie Kennedy from Avoca Golf Club was Women’s District Champion with Pauline Murphy (Ballarat) winning the handicap event .
The men’s results were very competitive with Chris Thomson from Maryborough winning the Scratch with an unbelievable 11 under par. Chris winning back to back.
John Broadley (Ballarat) won the net with 102.5.
The Senior District Champion was back to back winner, Chris Tatt from Buninyong and Phil Packham (Ballarat) the Handicap winner.
Under 21 Male Division Scratch winner was Mo Haintz ( Mt Xavier) from Liam Howlett ( Ballarat) after 29 hole playoff. Ben Crellin (Ballarat) the Handicap Winner.
The 18 Hole stableford event was won by Jack Poulton (Mt Xavier) from Ross Hadler (Rokewood).
