Open Events
Fred Beasley from Terang Golf Club won the Under 18 Boys title with a 2-under par round of 70. Fred is a longstanding Western Districts Golf Association representative player, a regular in our tournaments and it was great to see him win the title as he nears the conclusion to what has been a fantastic junior golf career.
Alicia Todd from Burleigh Golf won the Under 18 Girls title with an 11-over par round of 83, but only after a thrilling playoff with Bonnie Morgan from Medway Golf Club. Alicia is a former member of Buninyong Golf Club, was an inaugural member of our MyGolf Girls Squad and a valuable member of our team that were crowned 2020 Victorian Junior Country Champions, winning the Girls Net Trophy along the way. It was great to see you, Alicia!
Harry Cowan from Bacchus Marsh West Golf Club took home the Under 15 Boys title with a 6-over par round of 78 to go with his Under 15 Boys District Champion title. It has been a big 12 months for Harry with two District titles and playing representative golf for the first time at the 2022 Victorian Junior Country Regions.
Bonnie Morgan from Medway Golf Club deservedly won the Under 15 Girls title with an 11-over par round of 83. Bonnie went so close to winning both the Under 15 and Under 18 Girls titles and it was a pleasure to watch her play.
