Mo Haintz wins the Spring Junior Series

Mo Haintz from the Mount Xavier Golf Club has won the 2019 Midlands Golf Club – Spring Junior Series.

A joint initiative of the Midlands Golf Club and Ballarat District Golf, the competition was held over a five-week period, with the final round played on Saturday 7th December.

A mixed gender event, each week an 18-hole Stableford competition was conducted. Players were required to play a minimum of three rounds and had the opportunity to play up to five rounds in the competition. At the conclusion of the five rounds, the top three Stableford scores for each player were added together to determine the final placings.

In what was a fantastic final day, Mo Haintz finished with a total of 136 points from his top three rounds to claim the winner’s trophy. Lachlan Barratt was runner up with 125 points and Fraser Pollock finished in third place with 110 points.

The top three place getters shared in over $500 worth of trophies and prizes.

Winner: Mo Haintz (Mount Xavier GC)
Mo took home a trophy and a $150 gift voucher from Midlands Pro Shop.

Runner Up: Lachlan Barratt (Ballarat GC)
Lachlan took home a trophy and a $125 gift voucher from Midlands Pro Shop.

Third Place: Fraser Pollock (Neangar Park GC)
Fraser took home a trophy and a $100 gift voucher from Midlands Pro Shop.

Mo’s win means that he completed a clean sweep of the junior Stableford competitions conducted by Ballarat District Golf throughout 2019, having also won the Midlands Golf Club – Autumn Junior Series and the Junior Challenge played at the Neangar Park Golf Club in the July school holidays.

The Midlands Golf Club – Spring Junior Series was the first event in Ballarat District’s 2019/20 summer of junior golf, with the Ballarat Junior Open and Ballarat Junior Classic to be played in January.
